چکیده

We develop computational procedures for a class of Bayesian nonparametric and semiparametric multiplicative intensity models incorporating kernel mixtures of spatial weighted gamma measures. A key feature of our approach is that explicit expressions for posterior distributions of these models share many common structural features with the posterior distributions of Bayesian hierarchical models using the Dirichlet process. Using this fact, along with an approximation for the weighted gamma process, we show that with some care, one can adapt efŽ cient algorithms used for the Dirichlet process to this setting. We discuss blocked Gibbs sampling procedures and Pólya urn Gibbs samplers. We illustrate our methods with applications to proportional hazard models, Poisson spatial regression models, recurrent events, and panel count data.

Drift Change Point Estimation in the rate and dependence Parameters of Autocorrelated Poisson Count Processes Using MLE Approach: An Application to IP Counts Data

Change point estimation in the area of statistical process control has received considerable attentions in the recent decades because it helps process engineer to identify and remove assignable causes as quickly as possible. On the other hand, improving in measurement systems and data storage, lead to taking observations very close to each other in time and as a result increasing autocorrelatio...

Cause-selecting Charts based on Proportional Hazards and Binary Frailty Models (Quality Engineering Conference Paper)

Monitoring the reliability of products in both the manufacturing and service processes is of main concern in today’s competitive market. To this end, statistical process control has been widely used to control the reliability-related quality variables. The so-far surveillance schemes have addressed processes with independent quality characteristics. In multistage processes, however, the cascade...

Some New Methods for Prediction of Time Series by Wavelets

Extended Abstract. Forecasting is one of the most important purposes of time series analysis. For many years, classical methods were used for this aim. But these methods do not give good performance results for real time series due to non-linearity and non-stationarity of these data sets. On one hand, most of real world time series data display a time-varying second order structure. On th...

application of crovelli's bivariate gamma distribution in hydrological processes

Mathematical methods and statistical distributions present exact results in the climate calculations and hydrological processes. Awareness of the rainfall probability distribution provides the appropriate conditions for water resource planning. Many studies have been done to estimate probability of rainfall by various methods due to the importance of rainfall distribution in the economic, soci...

Spatial Regression for Marked Point Processes

In a wide range of applications, dependence on smoothly-varying covariates leads spatial point count intensities to feature positive correlation for nearby locations. In applications where the points are “marked” with individual attributes, the distributions for points with varying attributes may also differ. We introduce a class of hierarchical spatial regression models for relating marked poi...
